What fashion means to me,

I have always loved the feeling clothes give me, it is empowering knowing that I can completely be myself by expressing my personality through what I wear. Fashion is not just something glamorous like seen on tv or in movies but a real safety net that you can be entirely infatuated with, because it allows you to feel more like yourself. In my opinion, fashion is not something you can force, what I mean is that I would not wear an outfit that made me feel not myself, however I am not saying that you should not explore a style that may be outside of your comfort zone, because it’s a positive thing to have change and not stay in a bubble. Personal growth happens and your style will flourish to if you stay open-minded to new trends.

Style is a beautiful thing and what I love about it is that every single person has their own take on it. Alternatively when popular trends kick in some people assume that “Everyone wears the same thing” and “No one is original” although that might be partly true because they are called ‘trends’ for a reason, again like I said the beautiful thing about this is that everyone experimenting with the new trend then will have a different spin on it. Comparable to that if you see someone with a unique outfit choice that you like, and then take inspiration from that with your own style, someone could do the same thing with you. Therefore this process carries on like the domino effect, giving fashion guidance through one person at a time.

I would like to think I have inspired people whoever they might be with a certain outfit I have worn and thought they would try something similar, because you have no idea when, where or who had a small thought that they liked your style, and it inspired them. I find that quite lovely to think about, and you should too.

Fashion to me is individuality, culture, and character. Fashion is evolving every day so as styles and trends enhance so do ours. I love everything about the fashion industry and will express this in future blog’s to come.
