The recent hairstyles of our formally known y2k generation have relapsed in popular demand for accessories including beads, butterfly clips, stick on hair gems etc; this allows us to get creative with different styles and a myriad of small plaits to accessorise with.
I love the simplicity of small accessories to add an extra amount of personality to your natural look because normal hair sometimes just isn’t enough. You can easily spice up your hair with a variety of these accents. My younger says “I style my hair this way because I feel hair is overlooked a lot in fashion and it shouldn’t be.” I understand and agree where she is coming from and think we should give our hair the attention it deserves, evidently, it will focus your face and centre your outfit overall from head to toe.
These ‘gen z’ claimed trends officially originated from the y2k era and have been around almost always in fashion. So I say continue to having fun by mixing and matching with your individual hair fashion.
